Today was a great day! Drew got to sit and hold Lindy for the first time today. It is the first time he has sat and held either of the babies! It took 44 days, but it was worth the wait! At the same time he was holding Lindy, I got to hold Will. We were side by side, holding our babies! It was so incredible. Both babies did really well the whole time. They really seemed to like being held. Of course Drew and I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread!
Jamie- I can't wait until you can hold both babies all day long! I was glad to read your post about "quiet days" too. Sometimes I worry when I check in and it has been a day or two since you've posted anything. There are probably lots of people, like me, who check your site daily. Thanks for allowing us to be a part of your journey. love & prayers, Donna
After many years of trying to get pregnant, we finally got a positive pregnancy test on March 5, 2007. The first ultrasound said it was twins. The second one said it was triplets!
At 15 weeks we found out Baby C had extremely low amniotic fluid and was not expected to survive. He fought on for 10 more weeks though.
After a few weeks at home on bedrest and 12 days of hospital bedrest (where they stopped labor on me twice), I delivered the triplets via c-section on July 30, 2007 at 25 weeks and 2 days.
Lindy Jane was 1 pound 9 ounces, William Allan was 1 pound 14 ounces and Adam Allan was 1 pound 13 ounces. Adam Allan (Baby C) only lived for 12 hours after delivery.
Lindy and Will continued to fight for their lives. After 100 days in the NICU, Will came home on November 6, 2007. After 143 days in the NICU, Lindy came home on December 19, 2007.
So here is our story. We hope you enjoy reading about the cutest babies in the world!
