It did turn out to be another great year for VBS. We did the Everywhere Fun Fair theme and ended up with 22 kids each night. We picked it based on the Fair theme but once we got into it we realized that we also traveled to different countries each night. It felt a little bipolar but we made it work and it worked well! Some rooms were fair themed (snacks), some were country themed (science) and some were both (rec played a game from the country and then a fair game).
Drew was Telly Ticket, the emcee for the week, and I did the Bible Story again this year.
It's a fun but exhausting week. This year we planned a whole other event on Sunday after church. We did VBS Sunday during the service and then afterwards we had a hotdog lunch and we had all the fair games out for kids to play. It was a good time and great fellowship.
