Two Birthday Parties - One Day

My sweet, little babies turned 10 this summer.  Say what?  How did that happen??  I swear they were just born yesterday.  The past 10 years have flown by.

Ten struck mama kind of hard.  10?  Double digits?  Never single digits again?  That is getting too old for my liking.

Since it was the big double digit birthday, we let the kids have their own separate parties.  A first for our family.  But the way it worked out - it was two parties in one day.   We also had their parties at other locations than our house, so the amount of work wasn't actually too much.  That was very helpful!

We started the morning at Rock-n-Jump for Will's party.  It was from 10-12pm.  Will had 5 friends able to come.  Summer birthdays can be hard because people are away on vacations.  The Bryants came to the party and that way Lindy had a friend to bounce with.  They got to bounce for 1.5 hours and then we went to the party table where they got pizza for lunch and then we had birthday cake.  Will had a smile the entire 2 hours and enjoyed having his friends there and all the attention on him!

That afternoon from 2:30-4:30pm we had Lindy's birthday party at the Forsyth County Humane Society.  She had five friends there and then the Bryants were at Lindy's party as well so Will had someone to hang out with.  They had a little educational part and food first and then the girls all went to look at animals together and Katie took Will and Micah.  They got to hold kittens and play with a few puppies.  Lindy pulled a Lindy and threw up at the beginning of her party.  That's so Lindy!  She had a great time and enjoyed seeing her name on the sign out front!

All in all I think they enjoyed their days and the little bit of undivided attention.  That doesn't happen too often for them.  They got to pick their party location, their guest list, their cakes and be the center of attention for a couple hours.  It was a dream come true for them!
