4th Grade?!?!

How the kids got to 4th grade already is a mystery to me!  I wish I could slow down time but I can't so 4th came.

The kids got teacher letters when they were in Charlotte.  We had heard Lindy was getting Mrs. Perkins, and she did.  Will found out he got Mrs. Gordon for 4th grade.  We didn't know anything about her, except that she had moved down from 5th grade this year.

We had Open House on Thursday, August 24th.  We met Mrs. Perkins and we immediately knew we would like her and we were sure it was going to be a good year and better than last year.   Lindy was excited to find her best buddy, Josie, was in her class again.

We met Mrs. Gordon as well and we found out that although she came to Open House, she was actually going to be on maternity leave for the first two weeks of school.  She seemed sweet but Will had to wait a couple weeks to have her! Will was excited that one friend, Jackson, was in his class all day and his other best buddy, Luke, was with him in ELA and math.  Will changed classes last year for AG but this year he gets to stay in Gordon all day long.

 The first day of school was Monday, August 28th and it came bright and early.  Ready or not, it was here!  The kids were half excited and half dreading it.  I was kind of the same.  I don't like the homework that comes with school but I like the consistent schedule.
