Uncle Ed and Aunt Jamie’s Wedding!!

We celebrated the marriage of Uncle Ed and Aunt Jamie this weekend!  We are so excited that Jamie is an ‘official’ member of the Southern family.  Which also means there are officially two Jamie Southerns in our family now.  What are the odds.  There is still debate on how we will be differentiated but I’m not digging the ‘old Jamie’ suggestion I keep hearing!

We had a fabulous time celebrating their wedding this weekend.  The rehearsal and rehearsal dinner were Thursday evening. Drew actually married them which is pretty neat and Lindy and Will were the flower girl and ring bearer.  I was telling Lindy and Will at lunch on Thursday that they would be the flower girl and ring bearer and Will looked at me as serious as can be and said, “But mama, I don’t have a ring.'”  I tried explaining it but then he eventually said “Lindy will dress up as a flower and I’ll dress up as a bearer.”   I think he was getting a little confused as we’ve been talking about dressing up for Halloween.

We had the bridegroom, Ed, and Corbyn spend the night with us Thursday night.  Unfortunately Ed woke up at 4am Friday morning.

Friday, the day of the wedding, we let Lindy skip school.  We also cancelled speech for Will so we wouldn’t be so hurried.  Lindy and I went to the bridesmaids’ luncheon and Will and Drew had lunch with all the boys.  We both had nice lunches and got home to put the kids down for a nap.  We both got ready while they napped and got them up.  We dressed them once we got there.  They did pictures beforehand and then the wedding at 6pm.  Jamie was a beautiful bride and Ed looked very handsome.

Will walked in with Aunt Anna and Lindy walked in with her cousin Molly.  They came and sat with me and Mimo.  Will did awesome during the wedding and Lindy did not do so awesome.  She did not want to sit still and be quiet.  I finally ended up singing directly into her ear and that made her sit still and quiet.  I was thankful that it was a short and sweet wedding.

The reception was a lot of fun.  They had a bluegrass band which was a lot of fun.  Our kids were WIDE OPEN.  I’ve never seen Will so open and wild.  He danced all night!  Lindy made her way around the room meeting and greeting everyone.  They had a blast.  It was a really nice wedding and reception.  Everything was decorated with fall things, mums and pumpkins.  It was so pretty.  I hope Jamie and Ed had as good a time as we all had!

Now for the pictures of the wedding festivities.  I didn’t take pictures during the wedding so here are some rehearsal pictures!

At the rehearsal.  DSC_2767 Not the best picture of Drew since he was talking, but it’s funny of Lindy and Will.  They obviously thought they needed to be front and center!DSC_2772 DSC_2779 Checking out the golfers with GrandBob.DSC_2785 Practicing!DSC_2796 DSC_2798 Jamie’s parents, Richard and LorrieDSC_2801 DSC_2808 DSC_2811 Molly and Corbyn.DSC_2815 At the rehearsal dinner.DSC_2820 DSC_2822 Will’s newest trick.  GrandBob started giving him a mean look and shaking his fist at him.  Will started doing it back.  DSC_2828
