Quiet Week

We went from a crazy week last week to a really quiet week this week.  The only appointments we had were on Wednesday.  Lindy had Governor Morehead vision therapy in the morning and hearing therapy in the afternoon.  Both went fine.  Lindy did really well choosing two critical elements in both therapy sessions.  She is getting more consistent about this so hopefully she is definitely catching on.

Although the week was quiet for appointments, it was not quiet for whining and fussing.  There seems to be a lot of that going on around here.  The kids have runny noses again but I don’t know if it’s more allergies or a cold.  Will had a bad night one night, up crying 4-5 times that night which is completely unlike him.  He hardly ever wakes up at night.  But it’s just a ton of fun to hear all the whining.  It makes for some long days.

We were getting a little cabin fever so we did go play with our friend Claire on Thursday morning.  I called Katie last minute but they were free.  It did us all good to get out and see others.  I know the kids had a great time.

Will has finally learned how to say Lindy, which makes me sad.  He calls her ‘Sissy’ which I think is too cute.  Every time he has said Lindy this week I tell him to call her ‘Sissy.’  Will has been listening to a lot of music this week.  He is asking for it now.  He’ll just sit and listen to it.

We’ve been to a couple different parks this week.  Monday night we had dinner at Hanging Rock for a volunteer appreciation dinner.  Last night we had dinner at Germanton park for a benefit dinner for a lady in the community.  The kids have loved being outside so much.

Lindy surprised us yesterday by showing us that she knows the letters, A B and C.  In their swing set there is a chalkboard area with those letters.  She was pointing to the letters and saying something.  I asked her where A was and she pointed to it.  She did the same for the B and the C, multiple times.  She was saying the letters each time too.  Go Lindy!! Now if we could just learn colors.  Everything is blue in Lindy’s world!

Here are a few pictures from the week.

One night I went in and found Will like this, with his discarded pj top on the ground.  DSC_0597 GrandBob came to visit on Tuesday afternoon.  The kids wore their Parris Island t-shirts for him.  GrandBob had one of these shirts even before the kids were born and then got another one for them.  Their shirts said, “If I could get into the marines, I’d quit daycare.”DSC_0608Old McDonald had a Lindy, L-I-N-D-YDSC_0609  Listening intently to his music.DSC_0611 DSC_0613 What a look.  Crazy hair curl and glasses pushed up.DSC_0629 Cool dude.DSC_0631 Having fun outside.DSC_0639 DSC_0655 DSC_0658 DSC_0667DSC_0633  Silly babes before their baths this morning!DSC_0675 DSC_0672 DSC_0674
