Quick Update

Lindy had her hearing test today. They were only able to test her left ear today but it showed she has severe hearing loss. This test measures brain stem responses (through electrodes on her head) and it only works if the baby is quiet and asleep. She was asleep for the left ear but woke up and didn't want anything sticking in her ear when we tried the right side. We will have to go back in a few weeks to try the right ear again. The next step after this will be to do the same tests under sedation, when we know she is completely asleep and not moving all around. That will give us the best data and we will proceed from there.

This one kind of caught us by surprise. I've been so worried about her eyes that I hadn't thought much about her ears. It's been a bit of a rough evening. So much for a happy 6 month birthday for the babies.

God is big and God is good and he's brought you guys thru amazing things already-- he can turn the hearing around and work wonders with that too if it is His plan! Pray, have faith, and soak up all the joy those little cuties bring you each day!! Angie

I know the news today had to be a disappointment...but you all have overcome so many obstacles already! Hopefully, the next test will provide better results.
It is amazing to see how Lindy and Will are growing! Thanks for taking the time to share your journey with us. I love the updates to the site- and the videos are great too!

I am so sorry to hear about Lindy. I know that was a big blow to you guys. I know that you were so hopeful that all reports were going to be positive. You are so strong! I admire you so much! I honestly don't know how you do it. My 2 are 3 years apart, and sometimes I think I'm going to go crazy! :) I think of you everyday and pray for you. I will continue to do so. I will put Lindy back on the prayer list at church. They always say that the earlier you catch problems the better. I can't help but think that something good is going to come out of this. Just stay strong and "keep the faith."
