The Rest of the Week

Well you know about the first part of the week so here is the rest of the week.

It wasn’t much!  Lindy stayed home from school Wednesday but we took her on Thursday and Friday.  I picked her up a little bit early and took her to a follow-up appointment at the pediatrician’s office.  She was satting 97 (yay!) when they checked her.  Her doctor said she still sounded a little yucky and suggested we do breathing treatments with the albuterol and mask for the next 3-5 days.  I started her that afternoon and I do think it has really helped her cough.  In fact it’s pretty much gone away.  She confirmed there is still fluid in her ears (boo!) and asked how often we see the ENT.  She said it was safe to do the antibiotic and allergy medicine.  Drew took the kids to choir practice on Thursday night and they were so excited that they got to ring the bells.

Thursday night a couple friends of Drew’s spent the night in preparation for a big hiking trip they had planned the next day.  Five of them left our house at 6:30am to go hike the Sauratown Trail – from Hanging Rock State Park to Pilot Mountain State Park.  It was about 20 miles and they did it in 9 hours.  Wow – that’s a long walk!  They got back and ate dinner out and then Drew crashed.  Two of the guys drove home – a couple hours away.  I don’t know how they did it.

Saturday I felt like I cooked most of the day.  I made a pot of chili for the chili cook-off on Saturday night at church and then made a cake from scratch for a potluck at church on Sunday.  We did get outside and rake some old leaves and put out new pine needles in front of the house.  We played outside in the back yard and then got ready to head up to church.  We had a fun time at church.  There were 11 pots of chili and I got third place!  I didn’t get anything – just bragging rights!  We played bingo and Will had a blast.  He honestly won the second game!  He was able to do it all himself and was so sweet when he won!

Today we had church and a potluck to welcome all the new members that have joined in the last year.  We came home for naps and basketball and ran to Target.  We are gearing up for another week!  Hopefully a much quieter and non-eventful week!

Will is obsessed with Chutes and Ladders right now.  He even plays all by himself – and only cheats a little.  He knows he can cheat against himself but not when he plays with someone else!DSC_0801Friday night we made cookies – homemade ones right from the little bag that told us to add butter and water!DSC_0802DSC_0803Excited?DSC_0804The little cupcake feeling MUCH better!DSC_0808Wearing a cool bracelet!DSC_0809Help Fight Premature Birth!  www.marchforbabies.org/jamiesouthernkDSC_0811Surprised this balloon has lasted all week with the amount of abuse it’s gotten.DSC_0813Bingo!IMG_0624His prize for winning!IMG_0625Cute girl headed to church.DSC_0816She has turned into a bag lady.  She carries bags full of stuff all around the house.DSC_0819On the way home from Target.  She insisted on holding these bags!  IMG_0628

haha, we have bag ladies too! All my girls love to fill a purse with lots of little toys, junk and carry it around. Must be a girl thing!
